Where we can we have placed the skirting under the unit s that the skirting came from. There are many more small branches down. A few screen doors have blown open and have broken. We have tried to secure them the best we could. The Sheriffs Dept stopped by for a damage report. No life loss; no injuries, No major damage to structures except the Port-a Pot at the marina. Few trees and lots of branches down. We are fully open to the owners. The sheriff wanted me to thank everyone for evacuating the park. It was one less worry off their minds. It opened the response vehicles for other areas if need be. Thank YouEvey one heading down here, please be safe, watch for falling branches. The wind is still gusting. Again Thank You all for your cooperationSusan NaplachowskiPark Manager . Irene update 10:11am 8-28-2011 Please excuse my spelling on the previous updates. I was doing it from my phone. They don't give enough room on those touch tone phone key pads. Anyway; the sheriffs department has ridden through the park, making sure all is well. Caution!! Trees are consistently falling onto Beauchamp Rd near our portion of the park. Please be Careful traveling Beauchamp Rd. Winds are still high at this time. John and I will be traveling the park around 10 am. If there is any problems I will post. I have notified all owners with damage. Remember when you come into the park all propane had been turned off. The owner will have to turn it back on. If any problems John will be able to help you on Monday. Susan Naplachowski Park Manager (posted 8-28-2011 10:14am) . Irene update 0555 It is dark, and very windy. John and I will be tourinb the park. From what I see so far the park looks OK More to follow Your Park Manager Please post 0730 am The park is open. Very little damage. No Major damage. A tree behind lot 152 rooted up. It fell on common ground. Woodhaven rd should be renamed tornado alley. For some reason the wind funnels down that road. A lot of branches down on this road. Lot 292 has a large branch down on and leaning against the porch. There appears no major damage. Lot 379 flashing is coming off the east side of the roof. Marina was.under water. A lot of cleanup has to take place before boats can go back into slips. No major damage. Alot of.debri in the slips, on the finger piers and pier. LLots of trash. The 2boats in there sllips servoved the storm. A little scratched up, but.good. The office will be open to noon today. Volunteers needed Monday for clean up. Your Manager Susan ( posted sun morning 8-28-2011 9:20 AM ) . Irene update 3 8pm This maybe my last updaye till tomorrow. Wind is calm and rain has slowed so John and I did another round. All homes are doing ok just a few cosmetic problems. We have picked up a few items floating around the park. Speaking of floating, the St Martins river is still rising. It is over the finger piers and the bulk head by the gazebo. All is sturdy. The boats that did.not get pulled appear to be weathering the storm. We have a few more dowmed branches, but it is OK. Beauchamp Rd has a large amount of water flowing over ot from the Pines to our side. A couple trees have fallen across Beauchamp Rd from our side. No damage to anyone. The hurricane is still to pass over us around midniight. So far so good. I hope these updates are easing some of your worries.Your Park Manager (posted 8-27-2011 11:30 pm ) Susan . . Hurricane Irene update, 27 Aug 2011:Irene is still down in the Carolinas and it is has been downgraded to a Category 1 which is fantastic. We have been feeling a small effect of the hurricane since 4 am this morning with rain. The rain has been constant since; we had a little thunder. Alerts have been issued 3 times for possible tornados but none have touched down. The St Martin’s river is rising. It seems as though we are at high tide even though it is really low tide for this time of day. The alert going out from Worcester County is for all people staying in trailers, mobile homes, manufactured homes and older stick built homes to move out and seek shelter from Irene. John, Ray, Ray’s son, Bernie and I have secured all furniture. We turned all tables over, stacked chairs, took flags down; we secured what we could. I believe we got all 465 lots. The propane companies called and asked us to turn all propane off. This we did also. We have moved the valuables out of the front office; computers, printers, home owner’s files and all monies were taken to the bank yesterday. This precaution was taken in the event the hurricane stayed a Category 2 or a tree falls on the office. I didn’t want all our important papers flying through the neighborhood. John and I are still in the park. We will stay until the storm gets bad. He and I are guarding the front road where we put barriers up to keep people out of our park. I don’t want anyone in the park who is not an owner or anyone to sneak in to stay in their trailer because they want to ride out a Hurricane in a trailer. Your life is more important than bragging about how stupid you are staying in a trailer that is not equipped to handle a hurricane. Life is precious; ask those who have lost love ones.I have notified the sheriff’s office that the park has been evacuated 100% except for John and me. They have sent out a couple patrols to patrol the park while the weather is still somewhat calm. They too are stopping people at the gate from coming into the park. I want to thank everyone who attended the hurricane meeting on Wed. Thanks for all of your cooperation. It was wonderful for everyone to pitch in and secure their neighbors furniture, lawn ornaments etc when their neighbor was not able to do it. Please remember; I will survey the park as soon as the storm is over and will be calling owners if there is any damage to their units. Please do not call me so John and I can look at all 465 homes. Thanks.P.S. 83 & 461 your boats are still surviving.I will try to do an update this evening. Your Park ManagerSusan (posted 8-27-2011 2:15 pm) . . Hurricane Irene has disturbed the last week of summer! As a category 2, she is bearing down on us slowly, but steadily, and possibly deadly. But we are prepared!! We had a hurricane preparedness meeting on Wednesday night with over 50 people attending the meeting. Information was given as to what to expect, what to prepare for, and what to have ready in case of evacuation. Sarah Muir, A resident in the park, and an employee of the health department gave some information about not only leaving, but also returning precautions. Wanda Jenkins, also a resident, and a Nurse, also gave some information to the attendees. Thursday morning, Ray and I called all those who could not attend the meeting, and made sure everyone that was in the park had a plan for evacuation. Thursday Morning, all international students, including Stan and Artur, our two lawn workers, were evacuated from the area to Baltimore by CETUSA. Thursday afternoon, Ocean City made evacuation mandatory by Friday at 5:00 pm, and the decision was made to evacuate White Horse Park by 3:00 pm today as well. The difference in time, to allow a possibility of the roads not being quite as full. Full cooperation was given, and we are now waiting for the deadline to secure the park once it is empty. I, Ray, John, and Bernie the guard will remain in the park until Saturday, to ensure that it is safe, and secure until the storm begins, at that point, we will also be going to safety. Once the storm is over, we will be returning to assess the damage, and determine what if any damage has occurred. We will be keeping the park closed through Sunday, and possibly Monday depending on what we find upon entering. If you have any damage to your unit or boat, we will be contacting you to let you know. Once we are confident that the park is safe, we will reopen it to the owners. The office phone will be forwarded to my cell phone in case the phone lines here are out, so we will have contact with the outside world. Please do not call and tie up the phone lines! If you have damage to your unit, we will call you, but if we are bombarded with calls, that will be impossible to do. If you do feel like you need to call and check on everything, please hold out until Tuesday to do so. I do have e-mail capabilities on my phone, and I will be checking the WHP emails from there. Once again, we are prepared here. All residents have been accounted for, and everyone in the park has a plan for safety. Keep us in your thoughts, and w will be contacting those we need to as soon as we can. Susan Naplachowski Park Manager (posted 8-26-2011) .

started falling in the afternoon of Dec 25 and continued till the late evening. The next day, the snow began early in the
morning and continuing until late evening. We received about 14 inches of snow. The winds picked up in the afternoon
causing large snow drifts. We were lucky with the wind. Majority of the roofs in the park have no snow on them.
The park has been plowed.
Streets have been salted. This Thursday we are expecting 50 degree weather, so it should all melt in time for the New
Years Eve Party. The New Years Eve

Residents; ( posted 2-11-2010 ) If you are planning to visit White Horse Park within the next week please
bring a shovel with you. You will need to shovel out a parking space and the steps to your home. John has been plowing
the streets so don't be surprised if you have a 3-5 foot high snow pile infront of your house. . To
all WHP Residents, ( posted 2-8-2010 ) As you all know we have had a lot of snow, rain and sleet
and then more snow on top of the 14 inches we had last weekend. The build up of the mixture is sitting on top of the
roof. I have been traveling the park consistently observing the roofs and other areas. I have talked to several;
people in the park who have been able to remove the ice and snow from the roof. They are saying there is any where from
3 inches of ice to 6 inches on the Florida roofs and flat roofs. The cottages appear to have no problem. 1 porch roof has
collapsed. Two Florida rooms have been bowing. The owners have cleared these roofs. If you have an older model unit with a Florida room attached please be aware of the possibility of your roof bowing due to the excessive weight of the snow and ice. I am sorry to say we do not have the personnel to remove the ice and snow off the roofs. I do not have the man power to check inside each unit to give an update. The weather man is calling for more rain/sleet/and snow all day Wed.ice, I have to go home to Balto for a funeral tonight but will be back to work Wed. If I get a chance I will check the insides of peoples houses if you give me permission. I can not guarantee I will be able to do this but I will try. Please email back if you give me permission. 3-24-2010 ) . Melting Snow Causes Problems
02/20/2010 The days are getting longer
and warmer, and along with the increase in temperature we have also seen an increase in the number of homes experiencing leaking
roofs from the pile up of snow and ice. On some units the heaviness of the ice and snow bent the roof allowing
ice melt to go into the units. If you have an older model unit in the park with a Florida room or porch addition, you
should plan on visiting the park and examining your unit for leakage. If you discover your roof has leaked, your best
course of action is to call your insurance agent. Once an adjuster has evaluated the damage, you can contact a company
that does disaster/emergency cleanup. For example: Royal Plus: 410-677-3473; Century Carpet Cleaning Company: 410-723-2300; Deep Steam Fire and Water Damage Restoration: 410-352-2007 . Park Manager (posted 2-20-2010) . Do not forget

at 1pm. "WHP Christmas Cookie Exchange". So what's a cookie exchange? One of the holiday traditions is baking Christmas cookies. However, it's also one of the most time consuming traditions especially if you bake a large variety of cookies. With most people the holidays sneak up on you and time is very limited, especially when it comes to evenings of baking different varieties of cookies. My sister bakes at least 9 different variety of batches of cookies. It takes her evenings up for a good week and a weekend to bake them all. Here at White Horse Park we have a remedy for the variety of cookie making practice. We are hosting a "Cookie Exchange". To host a cookie exchange people sign up and bring a large batch of one type of cookie to the party. During the party, everyone shares the treats. This gives everyone a desirable variety of dozens of cookies to take home and yet only requires baking one recipe. How it all works: Eight people sign up for the cookie exchange, you would have to bake 9 dozen of same type of cookies. This is done so everyone attending can take home a dozen of your cookies for their family; holiday guest or even as Christmas presents. You could also freeze the cookies and enjoy your cookies with a cup of hot chocolate through out the cold winter months. So a person takes home 8 dozen varieties of cookies. The best part is you only had to make one type of cookie. If you are interested in the cookie exchange, please contact the office (410-641-5102) by Tues 29 Nov. give the type of cookies you will bake. There cannot be the same cookies baked by different individuals. All has to be different so we have a variety to take home. In turn I will contact every one on 30 Nov and let you know how many dozen of cookies of the same kind you need to bring with you. We will meet at the Club House at 1pm on Sunday 11 Dec for our gathering enjoy some coffee & tea, hot chocolate, and the exchange of our cookies. This is not limited to women, men and kids are invited to make cookies also. Hope to see you at the club house Susan Naplachowski Park Manager (posted 11-2-2011) was canceled .
